The rule maker is perfect for creating long and even furrows for sowing or planting seedlings. The blade, which is formed in a solid stainless steel point has no trouble with making a furrow in the ground. The blade of this rule maker has near straight edges whereas the blade on the other rule maker has curved edges. When the seeds are planted, the sides of the rule maker can be used to cover the seeds back up. The blade is formed in a V-shape so that the soil is distributed equally to both sides.
