The rake (\u201cclaw\u201d or \u201cklauw\u201d in Dutch) is a garden rake but with longer tines, created to collect material in the garden or to crumble the soil. This allows for better aeration of the soil and for improved mixing of compost or other soil enhancers. When the rake is flipped upside down with the tines skyward, the horizontal beam can used to level the seedbed. The tines are forged, sharpened and bent inwards (just like the claws on an animal) to improve the push-and-pull motion.
